Ask about the exact address, lease term, deposit, utilities, internet and house rules before you travel across town. Request current photos and never transfer a deposit before seeing the home and understanding the agreement.

Before you sign
Make sure the contract names the parties, address, rent, deposit, payment schedule and responsibility for repairs. Photograph furniture and appliances on move-in day.
